Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto are a couple in love, if the latest pictures taken in Israel are anything to go by.
Pinto was photographed nestling into Patel’s shoulder during a cosy al fresco lunch date. The actress is shooting her latest film, Miral, in Israel and Patel has flown out to see her.

The air was electric with youthful excitement and energy. There was glee all over their faces. Their chests were puffed up with the onus of voting in the largest democracy in the world. Lining outside polling booths across Bangalore many college-goers and young professionals waited patiently for their turn to vote.
Many admitted that having young candidates sent a positive message to the youth that the youth are interested in Indian polity and improving the state of affairs.
Madhukeshwar Desai, law student at Christ Law College, said: “Youngsters should either stand for elections or vote. Don’t crib about it.’’ First-time voters were merry. “I felt empowered and responsible. I want the party I support to educate and empower the youth,’’ said Abhishek Chaudhary, 18. “I’d vote for a honest candidate whose work speaks louder than his words,’’ said Yash Kajaria, 18, of PES Institute of Technology. Chicago, Apr 24 (PTI) In a fresh development in the Rihanna-Chris Brown story, latest reports reveal that the estranged couple have rekindled their romance and are now living together.
While Brown hasn’t “officially” moved in with Rihanna, they have spent “quite a few nights together,” reported Chicago Sun Times quoting a source who is a longtime family friend of the 21-year-old “Umbrella” singer’s family.
The couple are trying to keep the reunion a secret as the move is expected to cause controversy. Brown, 19 is facing felony charges for allegedly assaulting Rihanna during a fracas that occurred on the eve of the Grammy awards, in February.
The couple had reconciled just three weeks after the incident, but Rihanna decided to give their relationship “a break” after their reunion was met with a public outcry. Continue Reading

New Delhi, Apr 24 (PTI) Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham is all set to venture into international cinema with gangster flick ‘American Empire’.
Abraham, who earlier earned rave reviews in the Deepa Mehta’s Oscar nominated film ‘Water’, is currently reading the script of the film.
“I am pretty excited about the film. Right now I am reading the script and dwelling into the details of my character. I am really glad to be a part of it,” Abraham told PTI. He was in the city to judge Castrol Power-1 passion hunt.
The actor, however, did not disclose much about his role in the film which reportedly revolves around young woman and her hitman boyfriend.
The gangster drama will be directed by Director Andy Armstrong, who last made TV series ‘The New Adventures of Robin Hood’. Armstrong will portray a bizarre picture of underworld with eccentric characters, angst and violence. Continue Reading

A little something like receiving extraharsh criticism from the judges for weeks on end, being in the bottom three for several weeks in a row and having America vote them off isn’t going to get Anoop Desai or Lil Rounds down. The two got the boot in the first double elimination last night on American Idol, but were in eerily good spirits in their exit interviews this morning.
Of her elimination, Lil says, “It was OK because in the end, I’m going to take everything that [Idol] gave me and push forward with it. I definitely have some albums to come out, and everything they gave me is going to help me make that a great success.”

BANGALORE: In the absence of an overarching issue or personality to make voters brave the summer heat, just over half of Karnataka’s electorate voted in the first phase of elections to the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Of the total 2.62 crore electorate, 1.32 crore cast their vote, i,e 51%. Chikkodi recorded the highest turnout at 63.5%, while Raichur at 42%, the least.
Polling while peaceful was not without incident. From abstaining en masse in protest to the death of a polling official, complaints of missing names and minor scuffles, the electoral tableaux was colourful as usual.

Hormonal changes caused by too much or too little sleep can affect your appetite
People who get too little sleep, or too much, are far more likely to develop diabetes, say scientists.
A study has found that those who did not enjoy the optimum level of seven to eight hours sleep a night were two and a half times more likely to develop a blood sugar abnormality linked to type 2 diabetes.
Researchers who studied the habits of 276 volunteers over a six-year period said they did not know the cause.
