WASHINGTON: Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, believes chewing gum and chocolate could become the next tool to combat malaria, as he uses his wealth to seek unconventional approaches to world health problems.

The research team from the University of Edinburgh and Medical Research Council looked at the effect of stress hormones – glucocorticoids – combined with a common chemical used in glues, paints and plastics.
