Dr.HT Sangliana has been appointed as The Vice Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) in India. He has joined as of yesterday the 15th December,2009. H T Sangliana was Former Karnataka DGP and Member of Parliament from Bangalore North constituency. H.T. Sangliana made maiden entry into electoral politics on a BJP ticket in 2004. He was expelled from the party for supporting the Congress on the nuclear deal in Parliament. He unsuccessfully contested from Bangalore Central on a Congress ticket in the May Lok Sabha elections.
